You knew they could hit, they could skate, and that they can win. But did you know that some of your Windy City Rollers can write as well? Some devote their careers to journalism and editing, while other seasoned Windy City Rollers blog on a number of subjects just out of creativity and passion.
At our bout on Aug. 25, 2012, we partnered with the Chicago Public Schools for a Recess Equipment Drive and asked our fans to donate recess items. Thanks to your generosity, your donations are being distributed to 4 CPS schools! The kids are so excited about all their new recess equipment, and everyone from CPS sincerely appreciates the support and kindness of our fans!
The Windy City Rollers, Chicago’s #1 women’s roller derby league, and Chicago Public Schools are partnering for an unprecedented “Recess Equipment Drive” for back-to-school at the Windy City Rollers game on Aug. 25 at the UIC Pavilion.

To whet your appetite, we've taken the best skaters from the All-Stars, Double Crossers, Hell's Belles, and the Haymarket Rioters to compete in an undercard bout benefiting Tequila Mockingbird.

On Saturday, June 2, the Windy City Rollers are hosting a charity bout right before the Ivy King Cup Championship, and you can win a chance to be an honorary guest captain of Team Black or Team White.
We’d like to give a big “Thank You!” to everyone who donated to the American Cancer Society’s Walk and Roll! The Windy City Rollers skated 10 miles down the lakefront path on Sunday, April 29 to raise over $4,500 for this great organization.
