On Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, the last quarterfinal of the WFTDA Championships was a calculated, mechanical matchup as #2 Bay Area took on #8 Windy City. This game started with a fast and furious jam that held Windy scoreless. 9-0 Bay Area. Varla Vendetta picked up lead in the following jam but was sent to the penalty box. On Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, Chicago took to the track against the #13 Philly Roller Girls in the first round of WFTDA Championships. Windy City’s Second Wind closed out the Killamazoo Derby Darlins in champion bullfighter fashion for Windy City’s alum night on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the UIC Pavilion with a score of 246-129. It wasn't for lack of trying on Killamazoo’s part; the Second Wind just had a metric butt-load of points amassed and hits to boot.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Windy City Rollers All-Stars took the track at home for the last time in 2013. As the team prepares for the WFTDA Championships next month, the All-Stars saw fit to bang up the Detroit Derby Girls demolition-style, 240-127.
