It all came down to the last jam: a power jam for the the Windy City Rollers All-Stars, a 10-point deficit and a veteran jammer in KillaNois. This down-to-the-wire finish capped off a hard-hitting, incredibly close bout between the WCR All-Stars and the Team United All-Stars last Saturday at the Lombard Roller Rink.
Earlier that evening, the 2015 WCR All-Stars skated out on the track for the first time. With a roster full of fresh faces, they were looking to prove themselves. And even though WCR ultimately fell to a formidable ...

Both the Windy City Rollers Second Wind and the Des Moines Team United Blue Ribbon Bullies came ready to skate last Saturday at the Lombard Roller Rink. These evenly matched B teams jockeyed back and forth before the Blue Ribbon Bullies pulled away to take the win.
In an early jam, Second Wind jammer Lucy Wreckardo found herself in a power jam situation, but the Bullies’ blockers didn’t let her pass through easily. After Lucy got lead jammer, BreZ laid a huge hit on her that landed her in the box and Kay ...

If you didn’t make it to the final bout of the home season last Saturday night, we’ve got you covered! UIC Pavilion was packed with fans ready to watch The Fury take on the Hell's Belles in the game that both teams have been working towards all season long.
It was pretty clear during the team intros that the Hell’s Belles brought a huge cheering section, but that didn’t shake up The Fury. Jam 1 pinned Killjoy (Belles) against Hat Trixxxie (Fury), with Killjoy out of the pack first. Trixxxie was ...

The Double Crossers got their first win of 2015 Saturday night, outlasting the Manic Attackers, to whom they lost back in February, to take third place.
The silent assassins came out of the gate swinging. Lucy Wreckardo took the jammer line for the Double Crossers in the first jam, facing off against the Manics' Jan Trainor. Trainor quickly went to the box for a track cut, giving the Double Crossers a power jam. A slow pack allowed Lucy Wreckardo to score 19 and solid blocking kept Trainor from scoring after being released.
A couple quick, ...

The Hell's Belles may have beaten The Fury by 125 points Saturday, but the bout was a lot closer than the final score would indicate. With the 235-110 victory, the Belles move to 3-0 on the season and take sole possession of first place. The Fury moves to 2-1 and takes over the second spot.
Both teams came out of the gate swinging. In the first jam, Hat Trixxxie, jamming for The Fury, went to the box for a track cut. Almost immediately, Killjoy, jamming for the Hell's Belles, went to the ...
