After barely getting a win out over the Hell’s Belles earlier in the evening, The Fury looked to hold their ground against the red hot Manic Attackers. Standing up against the Manic Attackers is a fight that will test the resolve of The Fury bench and show their rookies how tough the Manic Attackers can really be.
At the onset of the third bout, the Hell’s Belles blasted the Double Crossers in the face as Unicoroner scored 12 points. The Hell’s Belles went on to score eight more points before the Double Crossers could even answer back.
Both the Manic Attackers and the Double Crossers were looking to make an impression on the league Saturday night as they faced off against each other.
New scrapes and bruises were served up in mass quantities as all four home teams of the Windy City Rollers opened the 2012 season on Saturday night. Bracing against frigid air, the ladies of the Windy City Rollers brought the UIC Pavilion to a rolling boil with a charity tourney pitting all four teams against each other in single elimination, single half bouts.

WCR fans have twice as many reasons to cheer at the 2011 Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto! Team USA and Team Argentina both have WCR All-Star representation; Varla Vendetta will be skating with Team USA and Sargentina will be skating with Team Argentina.
Coming in #1 in the north central region, the WCR All-Stars took to the track on day 2 of the WFTDA Championships, facing off against the Kansas City Roller Warriors. With high hopes of beating their first opponent and moving forward in tournament play, it was not meant to be as Kansas City pulled out a win against the All-Stars.
Tournament season comes to an end this weekend, and the Windy City Rollers want to share the excitement with you all weekend long!
The Windy City Roller All-Stars are heading to Colorado this weekend to participate in WFTDA's Championship tournament, Continental Divide & Conquer! Augmenting their already intense practice schedule, the All-Stars have been taking extra measures to prepare themselves for the altitude of the Denver area, including using weighted backpacks and apparatuses that make breathing more of a difficulty.
