The Manic Attackers handed last year's Ivy King Cup champion Double Crossers their third loss of the season Saturday. The ladies in blue got their first win of 2015, beating last year's champs 326-121. The win solidified the Manics' spot at 3rd place in the standings with a record of 1-2. The Hell's Belles may have beaten The Fury by 125 points Saturday, but the bout was a lot closer than the final score would indicate. With the 235-110 victory, the Belles move to 3-0 on the season and take sole possession of first place. The Fury moves to 2-1 and takes over the second spot.

Ska Face and Hat Trixxxie took consecutive leads, and despite SpartaKris being the lone blocker on the track at one point, Fury put 17 points on the board going into Jam 4, while the Double Crossers stayed at 0. In the closest bout we’ve seen yet this season, both the Hell’s Belles and the Manic Attackers brought their A-game. By Jam 7, the score remained close, with the Belles in the lead, 28 to 13. The Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) announced that the Windy City Rollers All-Stars qualified for the 2014 Division 1 Playoffs in Evansville, IN, Sept. 19-21 as the #3 seed. The tournament seeding reflects the June 30 WFTDA rankings, which were based on sanctioned games played through that date.
