During the wee hours of Sunday morning, three dedicated skaters joined WGN Radio's Jen Bosworth to talk all things derby. Kitty Mittons, Christian Mangle and Casey YaLater talked about how they got involved in roller derby, chatted about the tremendous camaraderie that goes hand in hand with strapping on a pair of skates and revealed all the work that goes into being a member of the Windy City Rollers.

A skater from our neighboring league, the Brewcity Bruisers of Milwaukee, Wis., was injured during a robbery in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood this past Sunday. Below is a press release Brewcity issued, along with information on how to donate to a foundation the league set up to benefit the skater.
For WCR's part, we are deeply saddened to hear about this terrible incident, for one of our roller derby sisters or anyone else, and we hope for a speedy recovery for Brewcity's skater.
