The WCR All-Stars will be participating in the 2009 North Central Regional Tournament, The Brawl of America, hosted by the Minnesota Rollergirls next weekend, September 18-20.

Loco Chanel: This is your second year as an All-Star and you've become a regular fixture on the track this season. What do you credit to your development?

Tori Adore: I feel very lucky to be a part of this team. This is an amazing group of women that I am constantly learning from. We all train so hard and I want to play the best I can be for them and the entire WCR. It may sound cliche but it does take a lot of hard work and dedication. Some of that has to come from inside you and you leave your ego at the door and listen to your team mates because you know that we are all here for the same reason.
First bout for the WCR All-Stars is on Friday afternoon against host Minnesota All-Stars. Last year WCR played them at Cicero to a 206-18 romp. What are your thoughts about the rematch in their house?

We never know exactly what to expect from anyone. Teams are always growing and changing we can never underestimate anyone when going into the matches. I know that they will be bringing their top game so we have to be ready for anything.
If the WCR All-Stars win their opener against host Minnesota All-Stars, you'll either play St. Louis' Arch-Rival Roller Girls or the Cincinnati Rollergirls' Black Sheep. The All-Stars faced both of those teams this year. Any thoughts about the possible semifinal matchups?

Either team would be a great game, but I do know that I am not looking forward to being hit by Cincinnati again. Those ladies can really shake up your insides with their hits.

Are there any other Brawl of America bouts that you're particularly looking forward to watching?

I am always looking forward to seeing the other teams play and see what ideas we can take from them. There are so many smart teams out there that come up with different strategies and seeing that creativity and implementation is always impressive.
WFTDA's Regional Championship tournaments are happening all across the country over this month. What matchups are you most excited to see during this tournament season?

I just got done watching Philly-Gotham. WOW.

Any other thoughts about tournament season?

Bring it on. We are ready!
