Kami Sutra
"She's a baaaad girl"
Excerpt from Cat Fancy, June 2005 Edition:
She eats little, passes swiftly and being as disrespectful and rebellious as she is evil and conniving, she is anxious to worship the Speed Gods, and to enjoy the conversations of the Derby Brahmans. Such, then, is the Lotus woman or Kami Sutra.
Like the ancient text of Vatsyayana, Kami’s well known for creating her own special positions. Her skating skills are legendary and have stirred up stories of phenomenal sidesteps, jumps, and other aversion tactics. The most recent account involved a move so astonishing, that those who witnessed it dare not speak of it.
Mag: Who is Kami Sutra?
Kami: I call myself Kami Sutra after the beloved ancient text translated by Carrerayatsana. It's book about the delicate subject of derby and skating in its most passionate form.
Mag: What about this book captivates you?
Kami: It reminds us of the gentleness of the world around us.
Mag: You say gentleness, but aren't you known for a move called The Pressing of Neck With Your Skates Position?
Kami (with a soft giggle): Even the most aggressive behavior must be handled with the most gentle hands. You see there are ways to prepare one's mind, body, and spirit prior to executing moves such as this or The Gasping Position.
Mag: The Gasping Position?
Kami: Number 9 of the Reidell Series. You skate behind your opponent, slowly you move closer to her, you must hold your breath softly and regulate the sound of it with breathing through your nose. As you get nearer, you extend your hands forward, this is a position geared toward a woman with a short reach. As you thrust your hands forward to grab her waist, you pull her down, and wrap your forearm around her neck. You'll know that you've done well, when your opponent starts squirming and gasping for air. Her skates should make a wonderful sound and she starts to kick her feet during her final breath.
Mag: Wow, that sounds brutal! How can you stand yourself?
Kami: I have seen the lotus bloom in winter. I have seen the sparrow flitter from the anus of suffering. I have seen the sign. And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls and tenement halls. And whispered in the sounds of silence."
