I was born of a hurricane and tornado in the upper Midwest. Growing up, I never understood why I passed up all my classmates while walking home from school or why, when I went to my friends' house to play, I left it in shambles. My hurricane mama told me I was a Fast Girl. My tornado daddy told me to quiet down when I run and "shhhhh, don't storm so loud". Quiet Storm became an outcast in town, and never quite fit in with the rest. But this was ok by me 'cuz I knew I would be the rebel that shut it all down. Shhhhh, here I come.
