Terrin Y'Up
Born, April 25, 1973 in Fresno, CA, backstage at an Elvis Presley concert.
The daughter of a tripped out roadie and a naive groupie enjoyed a childhood
fueled with The Electric Company, Hostess HoHo’s and bottled Pepsi!
Once Terrin turned eighteen she decided to leave her family in Fresno and
make her way east to the BIG CITY, Midlothian, IL. Upon arrival she quickly
discovered that she did not fit in with the locals, refusing to get “Stepford”
with the Irish-Catholic regime and thus joined a traveling band of midget
wrestlers, topping off at 5’1½”.
Terrin felt truly accepted and tall for the first time in her life. As in
her favorite movie “All the Marbles” she perused the big time,
managing to wrestle her way in to the 1994 novelty group championships as
a skating midget wrestler. She was joyously managed by the legendary “Little
Beaver”. Working with Beaver’s bandit midget wrestlers until 1995,
when “Little Beaver” quizzically died. Devastated at the loss
of her mentor and friend Terrin took to Europe for a few years, to continue
the vagabond lifestyle.
Modeling her trip after the Griswold’s European vacation, she was quickly the toast of the trashy Euro jet-set, living many adventure filled years, chock full of shopping, sleeping around, and Absinthe. After ending an affair with Jacques Chirac, she set off for Chicago.
Without “Little Beaver” she faltered in the American wrestling
market. She was forced to accept a career as a “has been” level
F celebrity, forced to take guest-shots on cable access shows and infomercials.
Finally penniless and broken of spirit Terrin went to pawn her most prized
possession her roller skates. She couldn’t resist taking one final skate
on her now vintage RinkMaster 5000’s with sparkle pom pons, fourteen
carat gold trucks, & chock full of friendship pins and memories. It was
there outside of “American Jewelry and Pawn” on Milwaukee, that
she ran in to a bunch of girls skating in a pace line. They immediately recognized
her from her glory days and asked her to join the Windy City Rollers, thus
the resurrection of Terrin Y’Up. “Watch out, you’re next”.
