While it doesn't have the same rousing spirit of "We're Number One! We're Number One!" (we'll have to wait until Sunday for that...)
WE'RE NUMBER THREE!!!!
In the most recent WFTDA rankings poll, the Windy City Rollers came out at NUMBER THREE in the nation! Ranked at 1 and 2 are Gotham and Texas, respectively (and we'll get a shot at those spots this weekend!)
After 4 quarters at #7 (which was definitely a few too many!), we've inched just a bit closer to the top of the heap. This is HUGE! This rank is based on play up-through-and-including the WFTDA Regional Tournaments. So those collosal wins you saw all summer? Our girls finally have a ranking to show for them!
The WFTDA ranks are determined by a vote of member leagues. This means that our fellow leagues respect (and fear?) our superhero All-Stars and consider them among the best of the best.Full ranks are at http://www.wftda.com/rankings
This weekend, our girls will be playing for the national title in Portland, Oregon. I am so fired up to watch them go all the way and so proud to call them my leaguemates and teammates!
