Saturday night the undefeated first-place Fury took the track in what some thought might be another routine win on the way to the finals. Much to their surprise, The Fury were caught up in a fight for their lives as the Double Crossers pushed forward with what was their greatest performance all season.
The playoff bout saw 15 separate lead changes between the two teams as the Double Crossers piled on points, crowded The Fury’s jammers, and generally made life on the track hell for feared furiosas.

Recently, Jackie Daniels and Bloody Elle gave ESPN their take on facing Gotham Girls’ powerhouse Bonnie Thunders, while Tamikaze, Shelby Musting and SpartaKris talked derby with WGN Sports Night. Meanwhile, JohngysBeat.com caught up with Tamikaze, Bork Bork Bork, Jackie Daniels and Sunshine N Painbows on camera while Gapers Block went behind the mask with the WCR mascots.

With the crowd frothed up from the Second Wind/CN Power bout, the WCR All-Stars took the track against Montreal’s New Skids on the Block in a nail-biting win where the All-Stars won 249-211 at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Even though they won the ugliest uniform competition for the night, the New Skids were ready for battle against the WCR All-Stars and proved to hang tough through the entirety of the bout.

Friday, March 1, 2013 matched up The Fury, currently undefeated in 2013, against the Hell's Belles, a team also undefeated in the regular season, with their sights set on first place. But the Belles may have wondered what hit them in the opening jams of this contentious bout; one in which the Belles had to battle back with the same hard physicality dished out on them by the fierce brass knuckles.

Billie Mean King is a figure skater-turned-derby sensation almost over night. Jamming for The Fury, she has already made an indelible mark and set the standard for rookies all over the league to follow. The idea is to never quit, and just when things look their darkest, you’ll find success through perseverance. Billie is finding more success the longer she’s out on the track.

Last weekend the Windy City Rollers hosted their annual Black and Blue Ball to celebrate a great 2012 season and award the stand-out players. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized! We expect extraordinary things for the upcoming season!

In a lackluster first round appearance, the WCR All-Stars fell to the Denver Mile High Club with a final score of 212-130 in Atlanta at the WFTDA Championships this Saturday, Nov. 3. The day prior, Denver made short work of the Charm City All-Stars and kept the ball rolling right over the top of WCR.

In their last home bout of the season, the Windy City All-Stars dropped the NRG Tornado Sirens with a 238-118 victory at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. There was nothing stopping the freight train that is the Windy City Rollers once the ladies in black started laying the tracks.
