Sunshine N Painbows was the Windy City Rollers’ 2011 Rookie of the Year. She got of her first dose of derby as a spectator two summers ago and made the farm team, becoming a Haymarket Rioter in September 2010. SnP, as her teammates call her for short, was drafted as a new member of the Double Crossers in early 2011, and WCR’s Second Wind travel team in April 2011 before getting promoted to become a member of the Windy City All-Stars a month later. The Manic Attackers were ahead from the start. The speedy feet of Abbey, jamming against the determined Zoe “The Matrix” Trocious, wasn’t enough to secure lead jammer status due to a stalwart roadblock of electric blue and yellow. Zoe Trocious scored an easy 4 points by the end of jam 1 and the Double Crossers were left empty handed.
