On Sunday, March 1, several Windy City Rollers braved the frigid temperature to jump into Lake Michigan and raised almost $1,000 for the Special Olympics as part of the annual Polar Plunge event. Huge thanks to Brig2Hell, Goldie Shocks!, Vixen D'Getcha, and Doris Day of the Dead for representing the WCR in support of a great cause!

I'd like to add that Vixen's right foot was in a cast, due to a derby injury. She was devastated that she couldn't actually go in the lake, and braved the horribly snowy spectator area in her tank top and hot shorts! That picture is of Dara Dara carrying her up the sandy beach, since sand and crutches don't make good partners.
