All-Stars Come up Short Against the Dairyland Dolls

The Windy City Rollers All-Stars finished on the short end of a 169-143 score in a hard-fought and physical bout against the Dairyland Dolls of the Mad Rollin’ Dolls league from Madison, Wis. The two squads skated a triple-header finale in front of a Saturday night crowd at the Lombard Roller Rink.
This was the summer’s second meeting between the two squads. Windy City defeated Madison’s charter team 200-193 in a close matchup on May 16.

Third Coast Shreds DuPage Defense for 258-111 Win

The Windy City Rollers Third Coast overcame an early deficit for a convincing 258-111 win over the DuPage Derby Dames Onslaught at the Lombard Roller Rink Saturday night.
It was a big night for the Third Coast jamming corps, which featured strong play from Goldilock Stock’n Barrel, Shake N Bake, and Speeding Rainbow. The Windy City squad’s jammers consistently won lead-jammer status, and when DuPage jammers managed to get out ahead, they often found a Third Coast jammer gaining ground and forcing short and scoreless jams.

Windy City All-Stars Heading to Omaha D1 Playoffs

Tournament season officially begins today! The Windy City All-Stars will travel to Omaha, Neb., Oct. 2-4, 2015 for the WFTDA D1 Playoffs.
Your Windy City All-Stars finished the season ranked #20 overall and seeded #5 in the Omaha playoff, which earns them a first-round bye. In the second round, they will get a rematch against Montreal Roller Derby, ranked #16. WCR All-Stars went up against Montreal at East Coast Derby Extravaganza in June. It was history in the making last Saturday night at the Broadway Armory—three local leagues dueled it out against each other under one roof, and the excitement was certainly noticeable.
